Continuing Professional Development

Thank you for finding out more about our Additional Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Opportunities. The Regional Education Partnership Board for Dorset, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole has identified the following priorities for CPD for the next academic year:

  • Trauma-Informed Approaches for Everyone’s Wellbeing
  • Making the Difference for Disadvantaged Pupils
  • Evidence-Based Teaching and Learning for Recently Qualified Teachers (NQT+1)
  • Understanding and Meeting the Needs of Pupils with Autism
  • Improving Progress and Attainment in Maths
  • Leadership

We (South Central Teaching School Hub) will, therefore, offer this range of CPD to staff from Dorset and BCP schools in the next academic year. The CPD will either come directly from us, or through Sigma Training School, also part of The Delta Education trust to which South Central TSH belong. And we will signpost you to CPD from our wider strategic partners.

We are describing these as ‘additional CPD’ as they are additional to the DfE Golden Thread of Initial Teacher Training, Early Career Framework and National Professional Qualifications.

The leadership bullet point is in italics as the CPD for leadership is covered by the new and reformed NPQs.
